What you will experience on your tour

Visit three of the Vineyards or wineries in Matakana. Depending on the group size 45 minutes is allocated at each stop including half an hour to browse the shops and/or get a bite to eat in Matakana Village.

  • Omaha Bay Vineyard are a family owned wine company  that produce estate Pinot Gris, Flora,  Syrah and Bordeaux style blends. They also produce a very nice Montepulciano and are one of the few wine companies in New Zealand that produce Petit Verdot but only in exceptional years – Tasting Fees $15pp. Tasting Fee rebated for 2 bottles purchased.

  • Matakana Estate are the largest vineyard in the regon and produce excellent Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and red varieties  including Syrah and Malbec. They have a stunning vineyard and property up on a hill and produce a wide range of award winning wines both from their Matakana Estate as well as varieties like Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough  Fees $15pp  

  • Runner Duck Estate produce Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Albarino` and Rose as well as Syrah, a Cabernet Merlot and a Sangiovese – Tasting fees $12

  • Brick Bay Vineyard have both a vineyard and sculpture park and produce Rose, Methode Traditionelle, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and two Cabernet Malbec Merlot blends Tasting Fees &13pp – $18pp depending on how mnay wines you taste. Tasting Fee rebated for one bottle purchased.
